New Iberia- A memorial mass will be held at 1:00 PM, on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in New Iberia for Charles “Chase” Fuselier III—devoted husband, loving father, son, brother and beloved friend—passed away unexpectedly at the age of 40, just weeks after his birthday.
Chase was the type of person who made everyone feel welcome. He had a great sense of humor, was warm-hearted, and always supportive—someone who would go above and beyond for those he cherished. He was a father, a provider, and a man with a deep appreciation for the outdoors. His passions included fishing, cooking for his family, and tending to his garden. Above all, Chase was deeply committed to his family. He and Tricia shared 15 wonderful years of marriage, creating a life filled with love in Marietta, Georgia.
Chase was a remarkable father to their 7-year-old daughter, Charly, and was filled with joy at the prospect of welcoming their baby boy, expected on August 26, 2025.
Survived by wife, Patricia (Tricia) S. Fuselier; daughter Charly Sofia Fuselier; and son expected in August; mother-in-law, Oralia A. Smith; parents Charles (Chip) and Julie Fuselier, Jr.; grandmother, Lyndahl H. Fuselier; sisters, Lauren Fuselier (Shane Harris) and Staci (Jerritt John, Jr.) Louviere; nephews, Rhett, Greyson, Layne Louviere, and Harrison Segura.
Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Margot and Ward Delahoussaye; paternal grandfather, Charles A. Fuselier; uncle, Bert H. Delahoussaye; father-in-law, Matthew V. Smith; and brother-in-law, Chales “Charlie” V. Smith.
