Lafayette - A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm, on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Philadelphia Christian Church in Lafayette, for Christopher James Alexander, 31, who passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Philadelphia Christian Church from 8:00 am until 11:45 am on Saturday.
Minister Phil Romar will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia.
On Friday, May 27th, 2016, God wrapped his loving arms around Christopher Alexander and called him home. Christopher was born to Ernest and Wanda Alexander on January 13th, 1985.
The witty and outspoken Christopher was a native of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. Christopher was a laid back friendly, fun loving, well-known person who loved his friends and family. He was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. In his younger days, Christopher enjoyed playing basketball and had a great love for animals. To know Chris, was to love him.
Christopher leaves to mourn and cherish memories of his parents, Ernest and Wanda Alexander, of Breaux Bridge, LA; two children, Krislyn Joe of Breaux Bridge, LA and ArTravian Harris of Lafayette, LA; grandmothers, Willie Mae Alexander and Doris Davis, both of Breaux Bridge, LA; siblings, Rockel (Danny) Monroe, Damien Alexander, and Sigmund Potier (Nicole) all of Breaux Bridge, LA, Nathaniel James Melancon (Kelly) of Carencro, LA; fianc, Angelica Joe of Breaux Bridge, LA; godparents, Catherine Landry and Shelton Boosie John; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister Kesha Alexander; maternal grandfather, Herman Davis; paternal grandfather, LeRoy Alexander; aunt, Judy Batiste; and cousin Chanel Celestine.
Pallbearers will be Herman Alexander, Christopher Batiste, Harris Gobar, Reginald Richard, Michael Davis, and Leonard Rogers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Djuanas Alexander, Dakeyon Jean-Batiste, Nathaniel Davis, Keondrea Alexander, Damien Joubart, Jaron Tolliver, Darrel Davis Jr., Sadarian Noel, Xavier Davis, and Eddie St. Roman.
