Christopher Robert Lassalle was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on July 20, 1979, and was a 1997 graduate of New Iberia Senior High. He had a fulfilling career as a VP Network Operations Manager at Home Bank in Lafayette.
Chris's love for life was infectious; he embraced the world around him with an adventurous spirit. An avid outdoorsman, he spent much of his time doing what he loved most—cooking, woodworking, fishing, hunting, and running. The tranquility of the family camp in Bull Island, LA, was a sanctuary for him, a place where he could connect with nature and indulge his passions. Whether he was building something new or adding a personal touch to a cherished project, Chris was always busy, driven by a desire to create and invent.
Chris had a knack for humor, sprinkling his conversations with countless dad jokes that brought smiles to everyone. His fun-loving nature and cheerful disposition made him a joy to be around, as he often brought laughter and lightness wherever he went. Friends and family will remember him not only for his jokes but for the warmth he radiated and the genuine love he showed to those he held dear.
Chris loved spending time with family and friends, but his sons, Nash and Noah, are what he was most proud of. They were his greatest treasures, and every moment spent with them was filled with love and laughter. Chris was a husband, father, son, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed.
Chris is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Kristi Badeaux Lassalle; sons, Nash and Noah Lassalle; his parents, Alton “Pete” Lassalle, Jr. and Sylvia Barras Lassalle; siblings, Bradley Landry (Carrie), Garrett Lassalle (Karla), Lauren Schouest (Nick), and Allison Benton (Hunter); parents-in-law, Darlene and Wayne Badeaux; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Eda and Emmel Barras; paternal grandparents, Alton Sr. and Eunice Lassalle; and an uncle, Wayne Barras.
Pallbearers will be Nash Lassalle, Garrett Lassalle, Brian Delcambre, Nick Schouest, Jake Boudreaux, and Colby Gentry.
Honorary pallbearers are Noah Lassalle, Brennon Schouest, Luke McBride, Hunter Benton, Jeremy Eskind, Eric Vice, Mike Barras, and Brad Landry.
Chris’ spirit will remain in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
