Clara Mae Demouchet

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Clara Mae Demouchet, 92, who passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at her residence. 

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday from 7:00 am until 10:00 am.

A Rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Saturday. 

Rev. George Bede Ajuruchi, SSJ will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.

Clara's life was a testament to love, faith, and dedication, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. As a homemaker, she poured her heart and soul into caring for her family, creating a warm and loving environment that will be cherished for generations to come.

Her faith played an integral role in her life, and Clara was a devout Catholic and dedicated parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Clara Mae was particularly meticulous about her yard, ensuring it looked picture-perfect. She loved to barbecue, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. 

Clara Mae was a loving and devoted mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her sons, Wilbert Demouchet (Janice), Andrew Demouchet (Phyllis) and Kenneth Demouchet; daughters, Ella Demouchet, Janella Alex, Georgiana Wiltz (Michael), and Amanda Holmes (William Harrison); brother, Clarence Celestine (Delores); and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Caffery Demouchet; son, Vincent Demouchet; parents, Lawrence and Martha Celestine; and her sister, Laura Celestine. 
 
Pallbearers will be Andrew Thibodeaux, Davion Collins, Bralon Collins, Kaynon Benoit, Kendall Demouchet, and Trevin Collins.
 
Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Demouchet, Wilbert Demouchet, Cebien Demouchet, Jerome Demouchet, Joshua Mayfield, and William Harrison.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Hospice of Acadiana's Calcutta House, Ochsner St. Martin Hospital, and Maison de Williams for their compassionate care and support.
