Breaux Bridge- It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Clarence "Nuut" Lendall Hypolite, age 23, who left this world on February 11, 2026, in Lafayette. Born on October 2, 2002, in Lafayette, Louisiana, Clarence was a vibrant soul who lived life to the fullest and touched the hearts of many.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 28, 2026 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 AM on Saturday.
Rev. George Bede Ajuruchi, SSJ will officiate at the funeral mass. Readers will be Joshua Thomas and Russell Dorion. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2.
A talented entrepreneur in the local music industry, Clarence was known for his creativity as a social media influencer, poet, and rapper. He was deeply involved in party promotions, where his infectious energy and love for life made him the life of the party. He loved to support Southern University where he once attended.
Clarence enjoyed the joyous spirit of Mardi Gras and cherished the moments spent with friends and family. Known for his loyalty and warmth, he was always a good listener and a compassionate friend, ensuring that those around him felt supported and valued. He loved his family dearly, making it a point to gather everyone together for visits and celebrations.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Shelly Thomas Lewis; step-father, Elijah Lewis; brothers, Jyle Hypolite and Chancelor Hypolite; sisters, Clarisa Thomas Hypolite, Chelsey Hypolite, and Amyre Davis; paternal grandmother, Mary Montgomery; maternal grandmother, Margaret Ann Thomas Faulk; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, family and friends. His profound impact on their lives will be felt forever.
Clarence was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Hypolite, Jr.; grandfathers, Clarence Hypolite, Sr. and Cardell Faulk; and his sister, Alajah Davis.
Pallbearers will be Chancelor Hypolite, Jordan Gabriel, Kyron Thomas, Ziyion Celestine, Deandre Richard, and Heze'kai Garrett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Isaiah Lewis, Terry Thomas, Randy Charles, Elijah Young, Zakiye Celestine, Zavien Celestine, Zaylin Celestine, Colby Thomas, Jonas Batiste, Trevon Brooks, Braylon Smith, Donyelle Brown, Koi Thomas, D'Shaun Thomas, Ethan Harrison, Kylan Menard, Joshua Thomas, Dakoven Phillips, Denzel Hypolite, Dalexia Guillory, Anassa Batiste, Taylor Bradley, Chelsey Hypolite, Chai'lyn Landry, Clarisa Thomas Hypolite, Brittani Thomas, and Kayla Elonne.
As we gather to honor his life, we invite all who knew Clarence to come together in remembrance of the joy and love he brought into our lives.
