New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, April 15, 2011 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in New Iberia for Claven 'Cleve: Frederick, Sr., 82 who died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in New Iberia. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Rev. Ed Degeyter will be the Celebrant, and Msgr. Richard Greene will Con Celebrate. Scripture readings will be proclaimed by Joan Frederick and Jeannie Frederick. Gift Bearers include Beth Frederick, Yvonne Frederick, and Rose Frederick. Born on July 15, 1928 in Loreauville, Mr. Frederick was the founder of CFS Tank and Equipment Company, formerly Cleve Frederick and Son Oilfield Services, which was founded in 1979. He enjoyed spending time with his family and had a passion for horse racing. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Primeaux Frederick of New Iberia; sons, Gerald Frederick and wife Jeannie of Atlanta, Georgia, Ricky Frederick and wife Rose of New Iberia, C.J. Frederick, Jr. and wife Yvonne of Kingwood, Texas, Terry Frederick and wife Beth of New Iberia, Robert Frederick and wife Joan of Lafayette; brother, Ernie Broussard and wife Pat of St. Martinville; sisters, Maydell Peltier of Loreauville, Cecile Viator of St. Martinville; 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Meance and Syfalide Hebert Frederick; brother, Harry Frederick, Sr., and a sister, Bernice Chatagnier. Pallbearers will be Mr. Frederick's sons and his brother. The family would like to give special thanks to AAA Hospice, and to Mr. Frederick's caregivers, especially Jamie Hebert for their extraordinary care and support. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia . A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Thursday.
