A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Clet was born on January 1, 1970. He was a 1987 graduate of New Iberia Senior High and received his Bachelors in 2010 and then his Masters in 2012 from the University of Louisiana Lafayette (ULL). Clet retired from AGI Package Pump Systems, however music was his heart. He played with several different bands through the area including Slam Judy, Glory Hole, Rumble Fish, Peterbilt Revival, Jaryd Lane and The Parish, and Acoustic lovin with David and Clet.
Clet was the “man, the myth, the legend”. One of the best guitar players in Acadiana. Although his life was too short, he left a huge impact on anyone who knew him. He loved to laugh and to make people laugh. His love and knowledge of music was immense and his greatest pleasure.
His family and friends meant the world to him. He was honest and always gave the best advice. His “Reauxisms” will be missed. Clet was a friend til the end, a hardcore supporter of the people he loved.
It’s hard to sum up the life of such a person just a few words. When he loved, he loved with his whole heart. This world has lost an amazing, smart, funny soul, but we are so grateful to have been a part of his life. Our lives will forever change with his absence.
