He was the first in his family to graduate from community college, and was an employee of Lafayette General Hospital, in Lafayette and Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge for over 30 years. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with his family and friends, whom he loved dearly. He also loved all of his pets very much. He prayed and recited the Rosary daily and his faith, love, and devotion for the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and the Blessed Virgin Mary was without waver. He will be greatly missed, but we have peace knowing that because of God's great mercy and love he is enjoying the eternal glory of Heaven with his Savior. He belonged to the Association of the Miraculous Medal and gave freely of his time and what little he had to different charities and organizations.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his 2 brothers Hadley J. Babin, Sr. and wife Geraldine, Alton J. Babin and wife Mary Ann and 1 sister Hazel Babin Courville and husband Aldus, Sr., and 8 nieces and nephews; 16 great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews.
