Clifton "Cliff" Gaudet

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 31, 2025, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church honoring the life of Clifton "Cliff" Gaudet, 90, who passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025, at Maison de Lafayette.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Friday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until service time.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Friday.

Rev. Bill Melancon will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.

A devoted family man and talented tank builder in the oil field industry, Clifton was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft.

Clifton will be remembered fondly for his love of work and the simple joys of life, especially his passion for cutting grass and maintaining his yard and flowers. Clifton treasured the time spent with his family, creating lasting memories and bonds that will be cherished forever.

He is survived by his children, Toni Marie (Jude) Lasseigne and John Allen Gaudet; grandchildren, Brent Gaudet, Amber (David) Hayes, Blake Lasseigne (Leaha), Tori (Calder Hebert) Gaudet, Misti (Blaize) Borel and Josh (Nancy) Morgan; great-grandchildren, Thomas Hayes, Bella Hayes, Kenny Hayes, Brantsley Borel, Evvie Borel, Emory Lasseigne and Marisol Morgan; brothers, Louis Gaudet, Joseph Gaudet and Raymond Gaudet; and his sisters, Genieve Bateman, Joyce Gondron and Ethel Rodriquez.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Claudia Gaudet; daughter, Tammy Gaudet; parents, Joseph and Lelia Gaudet, Sr.; brother, Dennis Gaudet; and his sisters, Hilda Gaudet, Lillian Fontenot and Shirley Hernandez.

Pallbearers will be David Hayes, Thomas Hayes, Blaize Borel, Calder Hebert, Brent Gaudet and Josh Morgan.

Honorary pallbearer will be Brantsley Borel.
