Breaux Bridge - Funeral Services will be held at 11 am, on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Clifton Joseph Sylvester, Sr., 71, who passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 am Saturday until 10:30 am at Pellerin Funeral Home on Carver & Dauterive. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Clifton enjoyed hunting and loved his dogs. He is survived by his wife, Rose M. Brown Sylvester; his sons, Clifton Sylvester, Jr., Tyrone Sylvester, Clifton James Wiltz, Wilton Sylvester, Curvis Alexander, Wilbert Alexander, and Brandon Alexander; his daughters, Mary Sylvester, Lou A.B. Sylvester, Lisa Sylvester, Dorothy Alexander, and Linda Celestine; his brothers, Joseph Sylvester, Wilton Sylvester, Ernest Sylvester, Gerald Sylvester, Jerry Sylvester, Leeboy Sylvester; his sisters, Mary Ann Barras and Shirley Sylvester; his 37 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lovina Johnson Sylvester; his sons, Clifton Alexander and Leon Joseph Sylvester; his daughter, Helen Alexander; his brothers, Robert Sylvester and Wilbert Sylvester; and his sisters, Joyce Sylvester, Mary Lee Sylvester, and Sedonia Sylvester. Pallbearers will be Harry Dugas, Lee Landry, Tyrone Sylvester, and Marcus Paul Sylvester.
