Clint James Guidry

New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Clint James Guidry, 59, who passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016, in New Iberia. Interment will be at a later date. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Wednesday. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Guidry was born on March 23, 1957, and was a 1976 graduate of New Iberia Senior High School. He worked for Dynamic Industries, and was the former owner of Gachassin's Texaco and CC's Daiquiris. Mr. Guidry enjoyed playing his guitar, working on his land, fishing, family gatherings, and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his children Chasity Guidry of Youngsville, Jacque Guidry of New Iberia, Josh Guidry and wife Shara of New Iberia, Jacob Guidry and fiance' Jordan of Broussard, Jayce Guidry and girlfriend Kayle Roy of New Iberia, and Charity Guidry of New Iberia; brothers, Clyde Guidry of New Iberia, Keith Guidry and wife Delia of Saint Martinville; sisters, Melissa Guidry Menard of New Iberia, Amy Guidry DeLoach and husband Richard of Carencro; grandchildren, Landon Guidry, Shea' Guidry, Maci Dupuy, Nyla Guidry, Eli Guidry, Raegan Guidry, and Brylee Guidry; special nephew who was like a son, Billy Emery of New Iberia; several nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children, Carmen Gachassin Delcambre of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Staci Guidry; father, Harold Guidry; mother, Pearl Dupuy Guidry; brother-in-law, Darrel Menard; grandparents, Octavie Guidry, Anita Decuir Guidry, Louis Dupuy, and Carmelita Louviere Solar; and a nephew, Daniel Menard.
