St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Colleen Lucille Tate Bienvenu, 87, who passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery. Msgr. J. Douglas Courville will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Ric Bienvenu and gifts will be presented to the Altar by her grandchildren. Mrs. Bienvenu was a parishioner of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, playing Bridge with her friends, and she loved watching the 'Lawrence Welk Show.' Her family was her life and she looked forward to and enjoyed every moment spent with them. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Tate Inzerella and her late husband, Samuel 'Sammy' Inzerella, of St. Martinville; three sons, Thomas 'T-Hoss' Horace Bienvenu, II and his wife, Myra, of Stilwell, Kansas, Michael Eric 'Ric' Bienvenu of New Orleans, and Jack Anthony Bienvenu and his wife, Michele, of St. Martinville; two sisters, Patricia Fournet of Lafayette and Doris Derouen of New Iberia; nine grandchildren, Kim Inzerella Pierce, Samuel 'Buddy' Inzerella, II, Lisa Inzerella, Thomas 'Tommy' Horatio Bienvenu, Sara Robinett, Ansley Bienvenu, Jake Bienvenu, Ariele Bienvenu, and Madison Bienvenu; and ten great grandchildren, Brittany Trosclair, ELlise Trosclair, Joshua Trosclair, Brittany Everett, Anthony Inzerella, Amelia Pierce, Madeleine Pierce, Brayden Thomas Bienvenu, Cameron Robinett, and Bronson Bienvenu. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Horace Bienvenu; her parents, Clyde and Ella Lucille Babin Tate; her brother, Milton Tate; her sister, June Steppe; and her son-in-law, Samuel 'Sammy' Inzerella. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday and continue on Saturday at 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be Buddy Inzerella, Jake and Tommy Bienvenu, J. Briant Fournet, Jr., George Pierce, and Anthony Inzerella. Honorary pallbearer will be Cameron Robinett.
