Breaux Bridge A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Cordelia Derouselle-Ledet, 62, who passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Friday, and continue at 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday, at Pellerin Funeral Home, 211 Berard St., Breaux Bridge, LA 70517. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Ebony Menard and Keylon Ledet. Gift Bearers will be Pastor Frank Wells and Co-Pastor Mamie Wells. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Cordelia was known as the community counselor everyone stopped by to get her advice. She was an advocate for Breast Cancer Awareness of Acadiana for many years. Cordelia loved cooking, cleaning, and shopping, and she enjoyed going on trail rides and dancing to Zydeco music. She especially loved being with her family and friends those were the times she treasured most of all. She is survived by her husband, Orel J. Ledet, Sr.; three sons, Reginald Ledet (Rashonda), Orel Ledet, Jr., and Izrael Ledet; two daughters, Candella Ledet and Ariel Ledet; two brothers, Cleopha Nell (Thelma) Derouselle and Ralph Derouselle; five sisters, Ruth (Clarence) Cormier, Marcella (Clifford) Sassau, Virginia Derouselle, Octavia (Clyde) Norbert, and Paulina (Eldridge) Menard; 7 grandchildren, Kendall LeBlanc, Sharonda McZeal, Kaleb Smith, Kameron Smith, Kaden Guillory, ReMayah Ledet, and ReDaya Ledet; and 1 great grandchild, Kole LeBlanc. She is preceded in death by her parents, Cleopha and Ida Davis Derouselle, Sr.; her brother, Edward (wife, Marie) Derouselle; paternal grandparents, Octave and Orelia Alex Derouselle; maternal grandparents, Arthur and Celina Davis, Sr.; sister-in-law, Alma Ledet; father and mother-in-law, Albert and Enola M. Ledet; maternal aunts, Janet Batiste and Mary Lewis; paternal aunt, Medelia Derouselle; maternal uncle, Arthur Davis, Jr.; brother-in-law, Nathan Ledet. Pallbearers will be Randall Menard, Sr., Jacolby Ledet, Rashad Derouselle, Tyler Ledet, Wilton Demouchet, Jr., and Jordan Demouchet.
