Cynthia B. LeBlanc

New Iberia – Private services will be held at a later date for Cynthia B. LeBlanc, 74, who passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Cynthia Marie Bonin LeBlanc was born on July 19, 1952. She was one of nine children born to the late August Sr. and Mary Louise Lopez Bonin. She worked as a seamstress at Fruit of the Loom in Jeanerette many years.

Cynthia was a devoted mother and grandmother, and time spent with her family was the most important thing to her. Some of the moments most special to her were the birth of her children, their weddings, and the birth of her grandchildren. She cherished time spent camping with them in Mississippi and she loved to dance.

Ms. LeBlanc left these parting thoughts: “Life is too short; don’t take anything for granted. Let go of any anger that you have; do unto others as you would have them to unto you.”

Ms. LeBlanc is survived by daughters, Robin Robichaux (Joey) of New Iberia, and Jeannine Hormell (Ryan) of Eunice; grandchildren, Emilee Robichaux Prados (Jake), Drake Ryan Hormell (Riley Atchison), and Amelia Claire Hormell; and two sisters, Lisa Fontenot (Gene) and Tina Badeaux (Jessie).

In addition to her parents, Cynthia was preceded in death by a son, Emile LeBlanc; and siblings, August Bonin, Jr., Terry Bonin, Rocky Bonin, Barry Bonin, Laura Louviere, and Rosie Crochet.

Cynthia’s spirit will live on in our hearts forever. May she rest in peace.
