Danny Forrester

New Iberia - Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Danny A. Forrester, 73, who passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017, in New Iberia. Interment will be at a later date. Rev. Keith Landry will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm Wednesday. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 am until 11:00 am. A native of Pineville and a longtime resident of New Iberia, Mr. Forrester was born on December 18, 1944 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked in the oilfield for many years and was a member of the Aurora Masonic Lodge No. 193 in New Iberia. Mr. Forrester enjoyed camping and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Francine "Teeny" Lopez Forrester of New Iberia; sons, Troy Forrester of New Iberia, Todd Forrester and wife Dawn of New Iberia; daughter, Tracey Forrester Neisser of Jeanerette; brothers, Donald Wayne Owens of Shreveport, Billy Owens and wife Beth of New Iberia; sister, Annette Louviere of St. Martinville; grandchildren, Kaitlynn Forrester, Cole Forrester, Alyssa Neisser; step grandchildren, Skylor Leleux, Zoe Leleux, Taylor Menard; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Owens, mother, Sybil Forrester, brother, Bobby Forrester, and a sister, Frances McGlothlan.
