Breaux Bridge A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Dave Michael Zeringue , 62, who passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm on Friday, and continue at 10:00 am until 12:30 pm on Saturday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday.
Rev. Paul LaFleur will officiate at the Funeral Mass with Deacon Marcel Butch Hebert concelebrating. Scriptures will be read by Angeline Huval and Lexie Theriot. Gift Bearers will be Lexie Theriot, Kelsey Zeringue, and Ashlie and Nicholas Theriot. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Dave was employed by Kirby Inland Marine for 28 years. He was a huge fan of NASCAR and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, riding the airboat to the Theriot Camp and riding his 4-wheeler to the Co-Z Camp, and spending time with his family and friends.
He was a devoted and loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Euline Guidry Zeringue of Breaux Bridge; his mother, Hazel Devillier Zeringue of Henderson; his son, Cory D. Zeringue and wife, Kerri, of Parks; his daughter, Julie Theriot and husband, Wayne, of Parks; three brothers, Carl "Tommy" Zeringue and wife, Linda, Neil Zeringue and wife, Kathy, all of Breaux Bridge, and John Zeringue and wife, Kim, of Lafayette; two sisters, Angeline Huval and husband, Dale, of Cecilia, and Elize Zeringue of Henderson; and five grandchildren, Brandon LeBlanc, Lexie Theriot, Kelsey Zeringue, Ashlie Theriot, and Nicholas Theriot.
He is preceded in death by his father, Allen Zeringue; and father-in-law, Andrew "Put" Guidry.
Pallbearers will be Cory D. Zeringue, Wayne Theriot, Brandon LeBlanc, Carl "Tommy" Zeringue, Neil Zeringue, and John Zeringue.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Melancon, Tyler Melancon, and Garrett Zeringue.
