The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge from 10:30 am until 1:30 pm on Saturday.
David lost his long battle with cancer on July 25, 2014.
He was born in Mountain Home, Idaho and lived in places such as Burns, Oregon, Sitka, Alaska, Pullman, and Seattle, Washington and finally in Louisiana. David joined the United States Marines where he served from October of 1979 to May of 1985. After his service to his country he went on to get his certification as a Diving Technician and became a commercial diver. In his endeavors as a commercial diver this is where he adopted the nick name of Rosko. Thats the name people became to know him by.
David had a passion for riding bikes (Harleys) and was the road captain for the motorcycle club Hole-N-Da-Wall Chapter in Lafayette, LA. He had many adventures in his life to include his time in the Key West, Over Seas and of course his time in the Northwest where most of his family resided.
Although David never had children or family of his own... he had a strong sense of family... aka came to the Northwest for regular visits.
He is survived by his mother, MaryAnn Gohl; his girlfriend, Susan H. Derouen; his brothers, Bruce Miller and wife, Valerie, and Robert Gohl and wife, Tricia; his sisters, Debbie Miller and husband, Bing, and Tammy Downing and husband, Chris; several nieces and nephews, to include Crystal Miller and Alisha Bender; and 1 great nephew and 1 great niece who nicknamed him, Uncle Pirate.
He is preceded in death by his father, Archie Jackson Miller.
David will be laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
