New Iberia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for Deanna "Ms. Dee" Delahoussaye Landry, 77, who passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 10:12 pm at Maison Teche Nursing Home in Jeanerette.
Rev. Garrett Savoie will be the Celebrant.
Entombment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Pellerin Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will resume on Tuesday from 9:00 am until 1:15 pm.
A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Monday.
Deanna “Ms. Dee” Delahoussaye Landry was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on October 12, 1947, to the late Wilton and Leola Comeaux Delahoussaye, and was the owner and operator of Dee’s Beauty Shop for 40 years. Ms. Dee also dedicated herself to the Iberia Parish School Board as a Paraprofessional, where she retired after 40 years of diligent service. After retirement, Ms. Dee continued to volunteer with the faculties of North Lewis Elementary and Center Street Elementary, where she continued to help countless children, especially those with special needs, who were dear to her heart.
Ms. Dee is survived by her only daughter, Shantell L. Provost and husband Lance Provost; grandchildren, Kelcie (Cory) Olivier and Lance P. Provost, II; great grandchildren, Lux Taylor Olivier and Mills Kathryn Olivier; her special “Lil Man” who stole her heart, Kainon Cole Wilson; sister, Patsy Delahoussaye; brothers, Tommy (Diane) Delahoussaye, David (Ellen) Delahoussaye, Gregory Delahoussaye and Brent (Stacy) Delahoussaye; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and her beloved godchildren, Gail Maturin, John Romero Jr., Troy Pratt, Lisa Duhon, Angela Degeyter, Brent Delahoussaye and Melissa Kapp.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Dee was preceded in death by a brother Jesse James Delahoussaye; granddaughter, Kyli Michelle Michaud; maternal grandparents, Eno and Sophie Comeaux; and paternal grandparents, Clesmae and Alicia Delahoussaye.
Pallbearers will be Kainon Wilson, Troy Pratt, TJ Delahoussaye, Michael Delahoussaye, Taylor Delahoussaye and Brendan Delahoussaye.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Kerry Breaux, a dear friend who shared countless road trips and memories with Ms. Dee; Mary Smith, another dear friend and roommate at the nursing home; and to the entire staff of Maison Teche Nursing Home for extraordinary care, love, and compassion.
