Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. , on Thursday, December 23, 2010 , at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge , for Debricka Batiste Sylvester, 23, who passed away on Friday, December 17, 2010 . Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Fr. Joseph Campione, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi , will conduct the services. Survivors include her husband, Emanuel Sylvester; her father, Alvin Alex; her mother, Sarah Savoy; her paternal grandmother, Mary Eve Alex; her maternal grandmother, Mary Carol Handy; and her brothers, Leroy and Alvin Batiste. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; her sister, Ciara Batiste; her paternal grandfather, Willis Alex and her maternal grandfather, Leroy Sylvester. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. A rosary will be recited at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. Pallbearers will be Alvin Batiste, Leroy Batiste, Leo Batiste, Elrico Alex, Benjamin Alex and Patrick Alex. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Batiste, Larry Batiste, Ambrey Batiste, Larry Sam, James Morris and Larry Morale. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
