Dianna E. Denise Sonnier

Dianna Eve Sonnier New Iberia - Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home, for Dianna Eve Denise Sonnier, 73, who passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016, in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Tuesday. Bishop Harold Antoine will officiate. Entombment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery in New Iberia. Dianna was born in Biloxi, MS on March 15, 1943 to the late Theotis and Annie Suire Denise, and was a longtime resident of New Iberia. She worked as a secretary for 17 years at Sim's Seafood Manufacturing in Delcambre. She enjoyed decorating and shopping for jewelry, and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Rodney J. Sonnier Sr.; sons, Troy Deboard, and Rodney Sonnier, Jr. and wife Tameka, all of New Iberia; step-daughter, Charlene Sonnier of Breaux Bridge; 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Crystal Ann Sonnier, a brother, Verlis "Rube" Denise, and a sister, Vergie Copell. Pallbearers will be Troy Deboard, Rodney Sonnier, Jr., Jacoby Sonnier, Dakota Sonnier, Russel Legnon, and Joe Picard.
