Dianne Romero Landry

New Iberia - There will be a graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery on October 7, 2021, at 10:00 AM for Dianne Romero Landry, 61, who passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021, in New Iberia.

Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Dianne was born on July 5, 1960 to Exalta and Leatrice Delaune Romero. Dianne was a phenomenal cook who taught many dishes to others as requested of her by family and friends alike. She was the manager of Parker's Seafood for several years. Dianne was an avid gardener, who had a green thumb that could grow anything from the easiest of plants to the more difficult varieties, like orchids; she also enjoyed surfing the internet and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Dianne was a dog breeder; at times of different breeds from the smallest to the biggest of dogs, and she rescued many dogs with disabilities who no one else wanted. She had a soft spot in her heart for dogs and cats. She was married to the love of her life Bryan for 42 years. She loved taking drives on the weekends sightseeing with her family. She was known to love playing a good prank on others. When her nieces and nephews were young, they spent countless days and nights at her home enjoying their time with their cousins, Drake and Christopher. She loved watching and listening to comedy of all kinds. Dianne will be remembered for her love of animals, her family, and her unmatched skill of cooking Bar-B-Que, all types of gumbos, and a master at seafood dishes for her family.

She is survived by her husband, Bryan Landry of New Iberia; two sons, Christopher Landry of New Iberia, and Drake Landry (Bethani) of New Iberia; mother, Leatrice Seymour of New Iberia; sister, Lynne Hotard (Ted) of New Iberia; two brothers, Timothy Romero (Sherry) of New Iberia, Jonny Romero of New Iberia; step siblings Donna Gilliland, step brother Donald Seymour, five grandchildren, Virginia Arnold, Rylea Landry, Parker Landry, Bayen Baranco, and Brennen Baranco; mother-in-law, Crystal Belle Landry; and brother-in-law, Michael Landry. She also had a special bond with Robin Akers, Lisa Akers, and Clyde Akers, III.

She was preceded in death by her father, Exalta Romero, her father-in-law, James Roy Landry and her stepfather Robert Seymour.
