New Iberia – Memorial services will be held at 7:00pm Monday, August 7, 2023 at Pellerin Funeral Home, for Dillon Joseph Breaux, 32, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 16, 2023 in Largo, Florida.

 

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4:00pm until 7:00pm.

 

Dillon was born in Abbeville, Louisiana on March 29, 1991, and was raised between Texas and Louisiana. He eventually moved to Largo, Florida where he found his peace.

 

He was employed by Portable Pumping Systems, Inc. in Largo, Florida, and was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.


While life presented Dillon with its fair share of challenges, he faced them head-on with unwavering determination and strength of character. One of his most significant achievements was overcoming addiction and forging a path towards recovery. Despite the adversity that addiction presented, Dillon reclaimed his life and built a future filled with peace and happiness. Among his many friends, Laura Mercado played an essential role in pushing him forward when he couldn't find the strength within himself. Her unwavering loyalty and guidance were pivotal in helping Dillon achieve success in his battle against addiction.

 

Dillon will be remembered for his warm and inviting personality. He truly never met a stranger and had a remarkable ability to make everyone around him feel at ease. His love knew no bounds as he stepped in as a father figure to numerous children who all cherished him dearly. Dillon's capacity for love and his genuine care for others left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.

Dillon is survived by his mother, Donna Touchet Roy; father and step-mother, Timmy and Sherry Breaux; sister, Khandi Seago (Colby); stepsisters, Britney Roy Lyon (James), Harlee LeBlanc (Chase) and Jordan Smith (Brice); stepbrother, Zachary Roy (Erika); life companion, Sophie Alberts and her parents, Lisa and Greg Alberts; maternal grandmother, Betty Touchet; paternal grandparents, Joseph “Gus” and Sarah Breaux; godfather, Mallory Breaux (Kristi); maternal uncles, Teddy Touchet (Debra), Tonny Touchet (Kelli), Mike Chauvin (Gretchen); paternal aunts, Gwen Breaux (Paul), Jackie “Cookie” Poirrier (Billy), Dewanna Louviere, and Jessica Case (Ryan); step uncles, Brent Roy (Myrna) and Greg Roy; nieces (Dillon’s pride and joy), Raylee Ann and Cooper Seago; step nieces and nephews, Madison Cumpian, Mackenzie Torres, Micah Lyon, Ella Roy; and numerous cousins.

 

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Denton Roy; stepsister, Leesha Roy; maternal grandfather, Raymond Touchet; step grandmother, Josie Roy; and godmother, Debra Touchet.

Dillon’s resilience and unwavering spirit remind us all of the strength that lies within each of us. His legacy will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory live on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly.
