New Iberia - A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Dodie Claire Legendre Burnett, 40 who died Saturday, November 17, 2012 in St. Mary Parish. A gathering of family and friends will be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. Born on May 19, 1972, Dodie enjoyed gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid New Orleans Saints fan and LSU Tigers fan. Survivors include her husband, Steven Burnett of New Iberia; father, Perel Legendre, Sr. and wife Yvonne of Gray; mother, Geraldine Hebert and husband Norman of Catahoula; step daughters, Autumn Burnett and Destiny both of Terrytown; niece and nephews, Talynn Legendre, Tray Legendre, and Saje Legendre all of New Iberia; many family and friends.
