Cecilia, Louisiana - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia honoring the life of Donald J. Dauphine, 90, who passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Calcutta House (Hospice of Acadiana).
A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
A Rosary will be prayed at 1:00 PM on Tuesday by Mitzi Perkins,
Fr. Keith Landry will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Mckenzie D. Lormand and Emmie Claire Allen. Gift bearers will be Brylie Dauphine, Brayden Dauphine, Baylor Dauphine.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum.
A dedicated sheet metal worker, Donald was a proud member of the HVAC industry, working for United Sheet Metal and B&C Sheet Metal, where his skills and work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Outside of work, Donald found joy in many pursuits, including gardening, riding his golf cart on sunlit days, and cheering passionately for LSU football. He cherished the lively excitement of trail riding and the horse races and adored the camaraderie shared with his buddies over early morning coffee at McDonald's.
Donald was a man of strong family values, tirelessly laboring to provide a good life for his loved ones. He found profound happiness in spending precious moments with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His laughter and stories will be deeply missed by his family and countless friends, who remember him as a gentle spirit with an unfailing love for those around him.
The memories of Donald's warmth, laughter, and unwavering spirit will remain alive in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Dauphine; sons, Terry (Bonnie) Dauphine, Nicky (Marcy) Dauphine, and Shane (Charla) Dauphine; daughters, Millie (Maurice) Barousse and Phyllis (Alan) Simon; sister, Jean (Wade) Landry; brother, Tommy (Renee) Dauphine; grandchildren, Jennee Patin (Tyson), Jessica Simon, Dusty Dauphine, Brent Guilbeau II., Casey (Matt) Roberts, Ashley (Stephen) Dupuis, Kyle Barousse (Dusti), Mitzi Perkins (Garrett), Falon (Josh) Blanchard, McKennzie (Blair) Lormand, Baylor Dauphine, Brayden Dauphine, and Brylie Dauphine; and his great-grandchildren, Cohen Patin, Cooper Patin, Josie Simon, Sloan Dauphine, Ki Dauphine, Ayden Guilbeau, Emmie Claire Allen, Barrett Dupuis, Bennett Dupuis, Kerrigan Dupuis, Shayli Perkins, Kayden Barousse, Roman Barousse, Celise Perkins, Evie Perkins, Ivy Blanchard, Violet Blanchard, Willow Lormand, and Preston Lormand.
He is preceded in death by his parents Simon and Alice Guidry Dauphine; sisters, Helen Rabeaux and Gerladine Tauzin; and his grandchild, Corey John Dauphine.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Barousse, Cohen Patin, Josh Blanchard, Barrett Dupuis, Cooper Patin, and Ki John Dauphine.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roman Barousse, Bennett Dupuis, Sloan Dauphine, and Tommy Dauphine.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the Staff and Ochsner Medial Center on the 9th Floor and the Calcutta House (Hospice of Acadiana).
