Donald, affectionately known as "Duck", was truly the life of the party. He had too many friends to count and he never met a stranger. Donald loved spending time with his friends and family, especially if it involved going to a festival or Downtown Alive. He enjoyed traveling and he cherished his most recent trip to Greece with his best friend, Deidre.
Donald was so loved and was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughters, McKenzie Guidry Duffy (Hunter) and Kennedy Adelle Guidry; grandchildren, Colin Duffy, Cannon Duffy, Vail Duffy and coming soon, Jacqueline Rose Duffy; brother, Lloyd "Joe" Guidry, Jr.; and sisters, Shannon Guidry Johnson and Renee Guidry.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Joseph Guidry, Sr.; brother, Troy David Guidry; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lanley Calais; and paternal grandparents, Mr. Claude T. Guidry and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Vitte, Sr.
Pallbearers will be Lloyd Joseph Guidry, Jr., Cameron Troy Guidry, Stonewall Lee Johnson, Hunter Duffy and Dane Huval.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Michael Cain and the staff of the Cancer Center of Acadiana, the staff of Hospice of Acadiana, as well as all of the family and friends who were so supportive and caring.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Acadiana at https://hospiceacadiana.com/hoa/donate.
