Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Monday, March 21, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Donna Dieu 'Boo Noon' Theriot Dor, 85, who passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Fr. Donald Pousson will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Donna, Erica, and Sommer Lalonde. Gifts will be presented to the Altar by Danielle, Lacey and Joely Lalonde. Mrs. Dor, more affectionately known to her family and friends as 'Boo Noon' was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia. Devout to her Catholic faith, her love for God and her church, she prayed the Rosary morning and night, offering her prayers to those who were in need. 'Boo Noon' enjoyed sewing, listening to music, and cooking. She most especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she adored. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Nell Dor Lalonde and her husband, Michael J. Lalonde, Sr., of Cecilia; three grandchildren, Mike Lalonde, Jr., Kerry Lalonde, and Cory Lalonde; and seven great grandchildren, Laine, Lacey, Landon, Danielle, Blake, Hunter, and Joely Lalonde. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Dor; and her parents, Cleopha and Elia Benoit Theriot. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 12 Noon until 10 p.m. on Sunday and continue on Monday at 7 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Laine, 'T-Mike', Kerry, and Cory Lalonde, Ty and Trey Guidry. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael J. Lalonde, Sr., Landon, Blake, and Hunter Lalonde, Kevin Latiolais, and Harris Theriot. Her family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home, her caretaker, Lillie Myers, and Drs. Deidre Stelly, Paul Rees, and Kirk Elliott, for providing her with the utmost compassionate care and attention over the past few years. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
