Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia honoring the life of Doris Ann Bergeron, 70, who passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.
A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 1:30 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday, July 7th, from 7:00 AM until 10:00 AM.
A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Monday.
Fr. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Erin LeBlanc and Brandy Daigle. Gift bearers will be Mason Miller and Lawson Patin.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Doris Ann Bergeron, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, was born on October 1, 1955, in Arnaudville, Louisiana, and spent her life nurturing her family and creating a warm, loving home in Cecilia, Louisiana.
Doris was a devoted homemaker, whose life revolved around her family and the cherished moments shared together. She was a source of unconditional love, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her deep connections extended to her dialysis friends, with whom she shared laughter and companionship during her treatments.
In her leisure time, Doris found joy in simple pleasures. She loved playing Bingo and an occasional game of cards with family and friends, crocheting, and baking delicious treats for her loved ones. The sound of laughter during family gatherings filled her heart with happiness, and her passion for sewing was evident in the thoughtful creations she crafted for those she cared about. Doris enjoyed drinking her morning coffee and caring for her beloved dogs.
Doris will be remembered as a caring and loving woman whose impact on the lives of her family and friends will be felt for years to come. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love she nurtured throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony Bergeron; daughters, Tammy (Damian) LeBlanc and Tina (Clyde) Barber; grandchildren, Naomi S. (Louis) Patin, Anthony Stelly, Destin (Andre') Adams, and Erin LeBlanc (Jaden Scrantz); great grandchildren, Baby Adams, Lawson Paul Patin, and Mason James Miller; and her sister-in-law, Marie Stelly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Pierre and Verley Courville Stelly; and her brothers, James Stelly and his wife, Iva Daigle Stelly, and Jessie Stelly.
Pallbearers will be Andre' Adams, Louis Patin, Anthony "Doogie" Stelly, Jaden Scrantz, Jason Stelly, Sr., and Jason Stelly, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clyde Barber, Dwight Stelly, Russell LeBlanc, Mason Miller, and Lawson Patin.
