New Iberia A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 3, 2014 at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia for Dorothy Dot Viltz Dugas, 82, who died Monday, June 30, 2014, in New Iberia. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Rev. Charles Langlois will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM Wednesday. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 10:00 AM until 1:30 PM. Mrs. Dugas was born on July 26, 1931 in Delcambre and was the daughter Laurent and Ursule Trahan Viltz. A graduate of Delcambre High School, she retired has an assistant vice president from Peoples Bank and Trust, with over 45 years of service. Her hobbies included playing golf and gardening. Survivors include her daughter, Denise Dugas Dickerson and husband Sidney Dickerson, IV of New Iberia; granddaughter, Elizabeth Claire Dickerson of New Iberia; step grandchildren, Jessica Dickerson, Julie Dickerson, Felicia Dickerson all of New Iberia; step great grandchildren, Ray Daigle, Skyler Daigle, Emery Daigle, Daniel Reaux, Jr., Gavin Reaux; a special friend, Whitney Gautreau of New Iberia; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil R. Dugas; half brother, Doris Bourque; brother, Preston Viltz; sisters, Nela V. Belanger, Madeline V. Landry, Nilta V.
