New Iberia ;- Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, September 6, 2008, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Dorothy "Dot" Oubre, 82, who passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 in Lafayette. ; Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Loreauville. ; Rev. Paul Neel will officiate. ; Born on May 13, 1926 in Loreauville, Mrs. Oubre worked at the Rosary House for over 30 years, and was a member of First Assembly of God Church in New Iberia. Her passions were God, family, and friends. She loved sewing, cooking, and reading. ; Survivors include her husband Sidney J. Oubre, Jr. of New Iberia; sons, Ivy Oubre and wife Reyne of Houston, Miguel Oubre of New Iberia; daughter, Christine Darby of New Iberia; brother, Cleve Gonsoulin of New Iberia; grandchildren, Aubrey Dooley of Lafayette, Laura Reaux and husband Jeromy of Lafayette, Blake Darby of New Iberia, Dylan Darby of Baytown; great grandchildren, Camden Reaux, Ella Reaux, Maya Reaux, and Elexa Dooley. ; She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Gonsoulin; sons, Sherwood and Jay; brothers, Clifford and Elias; sisters, Hazel and Pearl. ; Pallbearers include Ivy Oubre, Miguel Oubre, Jeromy Reaux, Blake Darby, Terry Landry, and Raymond Boutte. ; A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia.
