Dr. Pierre Arquembourg passed away on April 19, 2014, at the age of 94. He was born and educated in Lille, France, and was a veteran of WWII, where he served as a medical officer. After working with the World Health Organization until 1959, he came to the U.S.A., and worked in research with various institutions, including L.S.U. Medical Center and Ocshner Medical Foundation in New Orleans.
He was involved in developing and teaching modern, commonly used laboratory testing techniques, and wrote articles and books on those subjects. He was a quiet, kind, generous man, and he will be remembered and missed by his family.
