Cypremort Point – A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home, for Dylan James Schouest, who left this earth at the young age of 23, on Thursday, July 25, 2024. He awaits his family in heaven.
Dylan was born on February 10, 2001, in Lafayette, and was a graduate of West St. Mary High School. An avid gamer, he loved playing video games, building robotic models, and making knives. He also enjoyed working out and staying fit. Dylan had a passion for Japanese culture, studying and exploring their heritage. He loved Japanese cuisine and dreamed of living there.
Dylan was a very compassionate and caring person. He was always willing to help others.
Survivors include his parents, Theaux and Tessie Frederick Schouest; brothers, Hunter Ellis Schouest and Parker Joseph Schouest (his godchild); grandparents, Ellis and Dawn Schouest, III, Cheryl Borel, and Dwayne Frederick; great grandmother, Flavia Schouest; godparents, his uncle Ellis Schouest, IV (Cheree’), and Becky Corcoran (Ryan); aunts and uncles, Stacy Vincent (Craig), Brett Frederick who was also his best friend, Kati Frederick, Greggory Frederick, and Ryan Frederick; cousins, Tyler Hall (Kristen), Justin Schouest (Andrea), Kenzie Broussard (Kolby), Brennin Schouest, Daton Trahan who was like a brother to him, Victoria Vincent, Kylie Trahan, Avery Vincent, Kelsie Trahan, Lindsey Frederick, Jade Frederick, Gavin Frederick, Bly Frederick, Brooklyn Frederick, and Beckam Frederick; and his beloved Weimaraner, “Lucy”.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
