Dynita "Dee" Gerard

rNew Iberia A memorial service for Dynita Dee Ann Tardiff Gerard, 60, will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Faith Cathedral Church in New Iberia. A native of Franklin and a resident of New Iberia, Dee passed away on September 9, 2013 at a New Iberia hospital. She enjoyed attending church and working with young children. Her hobbies included, hosting birthday parties using puppets and clowns to entertain the children, playing with her dogs and swimming with her grandchildren. She was always smiling and especially enjoyed spending time with her family playing video and board games. She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Donald Gerard of New Iberia; two daughters, Heidi Christensen Stephen and her significant other Rebecca Frederick of Erath, Brandy Christensen Broussard and her husband Pete of New Iberia; seven grandchildren, Lacie and Blake Holliday, Kalyn and Alaina Stephen, Victoria, Kennedi and Pearson Broussard; one great grandson, Slade Ladnier; five siblings, Ted Tardiff of Centerville, Sue Carter and her husband Dennis of Jeanerette, Rickey Tardiff and his wife Dana of Opelousas, Kary Tardiff of Centerville, Karen Vincent and her husband Kerney of Centerville; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lynn and Eva Tardiff, one nephew, Garrett Tardiff.
