Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, May 30, 2011, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Earl Abraham, 74, who passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Father Joseph Campion will officiate at the funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Shawanna Davis and Gift Bearers will be Viola Davis, Erica Abraham, Markeyton and Markaylen Abraham. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Mr. Abraham was retired from Southern Pacific Railroad. He enjoyed going to the casinos, fishing, and shooting pool. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Edmond Abraham; his mother, Eula Mae Demouchet Abraham; five sons, Lawrence Abraham, Sr. and wife, Linda, James Abraham and wife, Sheila, Lionel Abraham and wife, Hilda, Harold Abraham, and Clarence Abraham; one brother, Milton Abraham; 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Abraham, Sr.; a sister, Ruby Celestine; brother, Dalton Abraham; and a daughter-in-law, Thetra Ann Mercier. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7 a.m. until 10 a .m. on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. on Monday. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Abraham, Sr., James Abraham, Jarmal Davis, Lionel Abraham, Lawrence Abraham, Jr., and Norris Celestine, Sr. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
