Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2008, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Earl James Guidry, Sr., 60, who passed away on Friday, March 28, 2008 at his residence in Breaux Bridge.
Fr. Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of St. Bernard Catholic Church, will conduct the services.
Earl worked as a Crane Operator for the past 30 years. ?He was most recently employed by St. James Stevedoring and retired in December 2007. ?He enjoyed playing on Pool Leagues and tending to his crawfish pond.
Survivors include his wife, Sheryl Lovell Guidry, of Breaux Bridge; his 3 sons, Dale J. Guidry and his companion, Karen McGee, of Breaux Bridge, Chet A. Guidry and his wife, Heather, of Parks and Earl J. Guidry, Jr. and his wife, Brandy, of Breaux Bridge; his daughter, Melanie Guidry Baird and her husband, Chip, of Lafayette; his 3 sisters, Earline Blanchard and her husband, Randy, of Lafayette, Susie Hinds and her husband, Pete, of Conroe, Texas and Florine Guidry Thibodeaux, of Lafayette; 12 grandchildren, Jenna , Megan, Kaylee and Ethan Baird; Trenton, Gabrielle and Layla Guidry and Bailey Vice; Payton and Breigh Guidry and Gage Arceneaux; and James Dale Patin. ?
He was preceded in death by his parents, Olivier Guidry and Clorine Boudreaux Guidry.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2008 and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Monday.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Jason Blanchard, Dale Guidry, Chet Guidry, Earl Guidry, Jr., Pete Hinds, Tommy Burns and Chip Baird.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
