Catahoula - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, November 25, 2013, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula, for Earline Marie Laviolette Bienvenu, 50, who passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday, and continue on Monday at 7 a.m. until 10:15 a.m., at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Fr. Richard Fabre will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula.
Earline was a hairdresser since the age of 18. She was a devoted mother, who cared for her children with a loving and giving heart her family was the center of her life.
She was a spiritual woman and loved going to church services. As a pastime, Earline enjoyed painting.
Survivors include her mother, Daisy Gardemal Laviolette of Catahoula; her son, Lyge Bienvenu of St. Martinville; two daughters, Tristan Demerest and husband, Ryan, of Eunice, and Janci Detwiler and husband, David, of Broussard; four brothers, Errol Laviolette and wife, Myra, David Noonie Laviolette and wife, Peggy, Donnie Bee Laviolette and wife, Julie, all of Catahoula, and Eric Boo Laviolette and wife, Kim, of St. Martinville.
She was preceded in death by her father, Early Laviolette.
Pallbearers will be her four brothers, Errol, David, Donnie, and Eric Laviolette, Raymond Bienvenu, Jr., and Drew Bienvenu.
Honorary pallbearers will be her son, Lyge Bienvenu, and her sons-in-law, David Detwiler, and Ryan Demerest,
