Earnest Rollins

New Iberia - Memorial services will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, May 27, 2011 at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Earnest Clifford Rollins, 77 who died Monday, May 23, 2011 in New Iberia . Born on May 8, 1934 in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee , Mr. Rollins was delivered by Dolly Partons great grandmother. Throughout his 30 years of service with Red Fox Industries, he traveled to many different parts of the world. Mr. Rollins enjoyed fishing, watching sports and cheering on his two home teams, Louisiana and the Tennessee Volunteers., and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. ;However his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family, and spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Ramona Delcambre Rollins of New Iberia; sons, Clifford Rollins and wife Wilda of New Iberia, Kenneth Rollins of New Iberia; daughter, Brenda Comeaux and husband Michael Comeaux, Sr. of New Iberia; sisters, Paula Jones and husband Patrick of Maryville, TN, Debbie Rollins of Townsend, TN; 8 grandchildren, Christopher Delahoussaye, Ernie Rollins, Shawn Rollins and wife Robin, Emily Rollins and fianc, Jonathan Maturin, Crystal Comeaux and fianc, Erik Lundberg, Goldie Comeaux, Michael Comeaux, Jr., Celeste Mason and fianc, Jessie Colson; 13 great grandchildren, Trey Delahoussaye, Maisun Joseph Grout- ;Rollins, Alicia Grout, ;John Rollins, Noah Rollins, Braxton Rollins, Trey Duhon, Bentley Duhon, Madison Duhon, Kalen Comeaux, Karlee Colson, Kaden Colson, and Alexis Lundberg.He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Paul and Mary Johnson Rollins; a brother, James Dale Rollins; and a sister, Marie Johnson. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia .
