Edward "Eddie" Durio, Jr.

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 8, 202 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Edward "Eddie" Durio, Jr., 71, who passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at his residence. 

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Cecilia on Saturday from 7:30 am until 11:30 am. 

Father Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Jennifer Huval and Molly LeBlanc. Inurnment will follow at a later date. 

Eddie was born and raised in a strong, farming family. He worked along side his father and brother during his life and continued to work in the farming industry until his retirement. 

He was a simple man, with a very soft heart. His greatest passion in life was the love he shared and had for his wife and children. Eddie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He leaves behind his son, Chad Durio; sister, Dianna "Teena" Durio Huval (Clyde); brother, Kenneth Durio (Carol); and nieces and nephews, Jennifer Huval, John Huval, Molly Huval LeBlanc, and Mason Durio. 

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janice Doucet Durio; daughter, Ashley Durio; parents, Edward Durio, Sr. and Verna Mae "Sue" Laporte Durio; and his in-laws, Kermit and Bertha Doucet. 

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Durio, Mason Durio, John Huval, Clyde Huval and Kipp LeBlanc. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Doucet and Steve Rusch.
