He was a man of few words, but loved to listen and laugh with whoever he met. He loved when all the family gathered for their big dinners and wouldnt miss, even though he didnt feel well. Edwin was a World War II veteran having served with the military police in the U.S. Army. A man with very little education, many talents, and a great love for life, PawPaw smiled with his eyes. Special thanks to my little sister, I couldnt have done it without her, my husband and family, to his sitter, Rose Bergeron, Southern Care Hospice, Dr. Mike Mounir, and Racheal Kratzer at the V.A. Clinic. He is survived by his loving wife, Lucy LaGrange Hardy of Arnaudville; two sons, Keith (Lillian) Hardy of Arnaudville and Gary (Linda) Hardy of Florida; two daughters, Bonnie (Jackie) Duplechain and Theresa (Harvey) Gautreaux, all of Arnaudville; two brothers, Lester Hardy of Arnaudville and James (Terry) Hardy of Baker; three sisters, Ida H. Mallet and Heda H. (Frank) Kidder, all of Arnaudville, and Margie H. (Donald) Guidry of Breaux Bridge; 11 grandchildren, Scarlett D. LeBlanc, Sasha D. Calais, Toby Gautreaux, Amanda Patin, Meghan Hardy, Logan Hardy, Hogan Hardy, Brandon Hardy, Emily Hardy, Dylan Hardy, and Jake Hardy; 10 great grandchildren, Courtney LeBlanc, Macey LeBlanc, Carli Calais, Jordan Gautreaux, Braydon Gautreaux, Drew Patin, Bayla Patin, Peyton Patin, Tristan Gautreaux, and Tyler Gautreaux; and three great-great grandchildren, Elyse Hardy, Ansley Hardy, and Morghan Hardy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lucy Lormand Hardy; a grandson, Jeremy Gautreaux; two sisters, Enola H. Wall and Hilda Hardy; and five brothers, Sidney Hardy, Rudolph Hardy, Moise Hardy, Rodney Hardy, and Elrick Hardy.
