Elaine D. Bonvillian

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Elaine D. Bonvillian, 97, who passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday at 8:00 am until 1:30 pm.

A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm on Friday.

Rev. Jason Vidrine will officiate at the Funeral Mass.

Entombment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.

Elaine was a member the National Association for Retarded Citizens and was instrumental in establishing the school for the special needs children in St. Martin Parish.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. Elaine will be remembered for her unconditional love for her family, her keen sense of humor, and her unique way of entertaining her family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald Bonvillian, Randy Bonvillian, and Roy "Ricky" Bonvillian (Peggy); 8 grandchildren, Carrie Pratt, Dawn Dugas, Reggie Bonvillian, Jessica Bonvillian, Ross Bonvillian, Travis Bonvillian, Chadd Bonvillian, and Kimberly Porter; 14 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nol P. and Lillian Beslin Dugas; husband, Roy Joseph Bonvillian, Sr.; son, Jimmy Bonvillian; and her sisters, Celine Dautreuil and Marie Erie.

Pallbearers will be Chris Porter, Reggie Bonvillian, Reggie Cormier, Chadd Bonvillian, Kimberly Porter, and Trahe Bonvillian.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Bonvillian, Randy Bonvillian, and Roy "Rickey" Bonvillian.
