Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at St. Bernard Catholic Church honoring the life of Elaine Menard Delhomme, 79, who passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at her residence.
A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm. It will continue on Thursday from 8:00 am until 10:00 am.
A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday evening.
Father Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Rachael Lemoine and Kelli Calais. Gift bearers will be Cole Delhomme and Anna Proctor.
Inurnment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery #1.
Elaine Menard Delhomme was born on October 18, 1946 in Breaux Bridge to Norille and Ruby Menard. Elaine was a beautician for 52 dedicated years. She started her career at the age of 19 working for Ronnie Navarre. She went on to own her own shop with her sister, Lillie and friend, Rookie LeBlanc. Elaine eventually retired from Visions, which is owned by Ash Gassiott.
Elaine was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Jack Dale Delhomme; sons, Chance Delhomme and Casey Delhomme (Tracy); brother, Benny Menard (Yvonne); sisters, Diane Reed and Lillie Breaux; and grandchildren, Cole Delhomme and Brooke Delhomme.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Norille Menard and Ruby Landry Menard; and brothers-in-law, Francis Reed and Jeff Breaux.
Pallbearers will be Cole Delhomme, Mitch Lemoine, Jesse Proctor, Luke Menard, Kyle Guidry, Max Guidry, Matthew Menard, Micah Lemoine, Jimmy Jordan and Jesse Jordan.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Acadiana, especially Mackenzie and Jane, as well as the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes, especially Dr. Hanayneh at the JD Moncus Cancer Center for their extraordinary care and compassion.
