Elizabeth 'Beth' Rodrigue Broussard

New Iberia A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday, June 13, 2014 at Nativity Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia for Elizabeth Beth Rodrigue Broussard, 53, who died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, in Lafayette. Rev. Gary Schexnayder will be the Celebrant, and Rev. Ed Downs will offer readings and blessings. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Thursday. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Beth was born on February 27, 1961, and was a graduate of New Iberia Senior High School. She began her career in banking at First Federal Savings and Loans, having worked there for 10 years, and then worked at Iberia Bank for over 24 years. Her hobbies included flower gardening, traveling, working Sudoku puzzles, creating floral arrangements, decorating for the holidays, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Beth is survived by her husband, Allen P. Broussard of New Iberia; step mother, Elodie Dee Lancon Rodrigue of New Iberia; children, Mary Elizabeth LeJeune of Lafayette, Benjamin Guy LeJeune of New Iberia; step children, Reid Andrew Broussard of Lafayette, Alex Nicole Broussard of Baton Rouge; brothers, Gene C. Rodrigue and wife Sandra McGrew Rodrigue of New Iberia, Joey P. Rodrigue and wife Tina Prince Rodrigue of New Iberia, Kevin Glenn Rodrigue and wife Toni Hebert Rodrigue of Youngsville; sister, Vicky Rodrigue Zagar and husband Joey Zagar of New Iberia; step brother, Richard Rowan and wife Vickie Comeaux Rowan of New Iberia; step sister, Lynn Mestayer and husband Chris Mestayer of New Iberia; mother-in-law, Patricia delaHoussaye Broussard of New Iberia; brothers-in-law, Robert Francis Broussard Jr. and wife Janet, Paul Fleming Broussard and wife Catherine, Bernard Edward Broussard and wife Vicky all of New Iberia; sister-in-law, Patricia Broussard Viator and husband Gene of Delcambre; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Rodrigue, and Mary Lou Peveto Rodrigue. Pallbearers will be Gene Rodrigue, Joey Rodrigue, Kevin Rodrigue, Michael Rodrigue, Reid Broussard, and Joey Zagar.
