Elize Broussard

St.Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. , on Monday, May 16, 2011, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St.Martinville, for Elize Patin Broussard, 83, who passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2011. Msgr. J. Douglas Courville will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Brittany Schouest and Cindy Broussard. Gift Bearers will be Seth Schouest and Sarah Broussard. Entombment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville. Mrs. Broussard was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved tending to the needs of her family and in her free time she enjoyed reading, sewing and quilting. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, Fulton Joseph Broussard, Sr. of St. Martinville; four sons, Fulton Joseph 'F.J.' Broussard, Jr. and his wife, Debbie L., Steven John Broussard and his wife, Connie B., Kenneth James Broussard and his wife, Joan, and Robert F. Broussard, all of St. Martinville; one daughter, Annette Schouest of St. Martinville; two sisters, Evelyn Moulis and Ethel Mestayer, both of St. Martinville; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Chris Anthony Broussard; her parents, Antenor and Alzire Granger Patin, Sr.; five brothers, Edgar, Whitney, Dide 'Pip', Robert, and Jack Patin; and one sister, Eunice Guidry. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11 a .m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday and continue on Monday at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Shane, Kevin, Brent, Benji, Ryan, Kenny 'Blue,' and Trent Broussard, and Lee Schouest. Pellerin Funeral Homeof St.Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
