Ella Boudreaux Lavergne

St. Martinville - Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in Saint Martinville, for Ella Boudreaux Lavergne, 92, who passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at St. Martinville Rehab & Nursing Center.. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:00 am until 1:30 pm on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. A rosary will be recited at 12:00 noon on Tuesday. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Saint Martinville. Ella loved first and foremost, taking care of her family. She also enjoyed tending to her garden and flowers. She is survived by her sons, Ivan Lavergne Jr. of St. Martinville, and David Lavergne of Jarreau; her daughters, Janice (James) Broussard of Saint Martinville, Dianne (Robert) Kelly of Anchorage, AK, and Marcia (Kerry) VanBrocklin of New Iberia; her brothers, Adam "JC" (Theresa) Boudreaux of Westwego and Johnny (Melva) Boudreaux of New Iberia; her sister, Louise Albert of New Iberia; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Elia Derouen Boudreaux; her husband, Ivan Lavergne Sr.; her sons, Melvin Lavergne and Mark Lavergne; and her brother, Preston Boudreaux Sr...
