Arnaudville - A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, August 6, 2018, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Elsie Marks Kidder, 72, who passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Lafayette General Medical Center. Deacon Ken Soignier will officiate at the Funeral Service. Readers will be Glenda Brasseaux and Brandi Schexnayder. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Elsie spent 20 years working in the restaurant industry before becoming self-employed in the janitorial business. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading and sewing. Elsie loved spending time with her family and spent her life caring for others. She will be remembered for her kind-hearted spirit and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons, Neal Kidder, Kevin Kidder and wife Christine, and Daniel Kidder; daughter, Claudette Thompson and husband James; sister, Cheryl Dawsey and husband Leonard; brothers, Broudie "Butch" Guilbeau and wife Lucy and Gerald Courville and wife Cindy; grandchildren, Jacques Dupuis, Alison Pisani, Kristina Guyer, Lauren Savant, Bradley Thompson, Cara Kidder, Caray Kidder, Logan Kidder, Aquilles Dupuis, and Amelia Kidder; great grandchildren, Madison Dupuis, Marlee Dupuis, Mya Dupuis, Madyson Guyer, Audrey Savant, and Jevin Guidry; and a daughter-in-law, Joy Dupuis. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Herman Jean-Jacques Dupuis; 2nd husband, Bradley Kidder; son, Adam Wade "Binky" Dupuis; parents, Merrick and Rose LaGrange Marks; brother, Gene Allen Marks; and great grandchild, Emma Guyer. Pallbearers will be Neal Kidder, Kevin Kidder, Daniel Kidder, Jacques Dupuis, Caray Kidder, and Logan Kidder.
