Elton Jacque Latiolais

Breaux Bridge - A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Elton Jacque Latiolais, age 74, of Ville Platte, who passed away on December 12, 2025.

A visitation will take place on on Saturday, December 27th at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge from 8 AM until 11 AM.

Deacon Perry Guidry will officiate the funeral service.

A cremation will take place following the service and a burial will be held at a later date.

Born on January 20, 1951, in Breaux Bridge, Elton was a father, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many. He spent his career in the steel industry, specializing in metal construction. Elton also had a talent with woodworking. He at one time, rebuilt his house, redid floors, and finished cabinets.

Elton's early years were marked by his active participation in the community; he served as an Altar Boy and a Lector at St. Joseph Church in Cecilia.

His passions included hunting and fishing, and he was known for his athleticism and commitment to staying in shape. He also played billiards on a team and also shared his love of the sport by playing with his daughter, Daria.

A giving person, Elton often put the needs of others before his own, always ready to lend a helping hand. His daughter, Daria Latiolais, was the light of his life, and he cherished every moment they spent together.

He leaves behind not only a legacy of love and generosity, but also his beloved sister, Frances Cabrini Fruge, and his brother, Wayne J. Latiolais.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hobson and Myrtle Guidry Latiolais; and his wife, Neva Latiolais.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
