Elva Hypolite Narcisse

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 20, 2005, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Elva Hypolite Narcisse, 100, who died Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at Meadow Brook Rehab in Lafayette. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Survivors include her sons, Weldon Narcisse of Houston, TX and Delton Narcisse of Port Arthur, TX; her daughters, Anna Mae Gedward, Ann Eva Celestain, Rose Marie Narcisse, Eula Mae Jones, all of St. Martinville and Lucinda Hurd of Houston, TX; twenty-six grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren; and eighteen great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Narcisse; her sons, Avery and Dennis Narcisse; her grandson, Coby Narcisse; her parents, Victor and Lucinda Filer Hypolite; five brothers and three sisters. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4 PM ~ 10 PM on Sunday and continue at 7 AM Monday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7 PM Sunday. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
