Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. , on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 , at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge , for Ernest Joseph Belaire, 74, who passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at his residence. Rev. Neil McNeill, will conduct the services. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge . Ernest served in the National Guard. He enjoyed heavy equipment construction work and was a jack of all trades. He was a former Usher at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson . He also enjoyed cooking for his family. Survivors include his wife, Rita Elaine Douet Belaire of Breaux Bridge; his daughters, Connie Stelly and her husband, Frank, Laura Blanchard and her husband, Karl, and Nicole Pellegran and her husband, Billy, all of Parks; his brother, Ronald Belaire of St. Martinville; his ten grandchildren, Derrick Robin, Anthony Robin, Baylon Pellegran, Matthew Blanchard, Lilly Robin, Alex Blanchard, Shelli Guidry, Courtney Pellegran, Victoria Pellegran, and Jacob Blanchard; and his three step grandchildren, Chad Stelly, Joel Stelly, and Allyson Stelly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anley and Claudia Belair Belaire; and his daughter, Clara Faye Belaire Robin. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9 a .m. until 10:00 p.m. on Monday and continue at 8 a .m. until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Pallbearers will be Derrick Robin, Anthony Robin, Baylon Pellegran, Matthew Blanchard, Lilly Robin, and Alex Blanchard. Honorary pallbearers will be Shelli Guidry, Courtney Pellegran, Victoria Pellegran, Jacob Blanchard, Ronald Belaire, and Huey Belaire.
