Ernie Paul Castille, a man whose hands brought life back to tired old cars and whose heart overflowed with love for his family, will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. Born in Lafayette, Louisiana on October 21, 1953, Ernie passed away on August 4, 2024, at his home in Saint Martinville.
Throughout his life, Ernie found joy in the simple pleasures - from the joy of fixing up vintage cars to the delight he found in watching his beloved family gather by the pool, going on cruises while visiting other countries and bouncing the grandkids on his knee while he expressed the words "Lack-et-to".
An outdoor enthusiast, he savored lazy afternoon rides on the golf cart, usually with an ice-cold Coors Light in hand. His weekends spent at his camp with loved ones will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
Ernie's sense of humor and love for making others laugh ensured that every moment spent with him was filled with joy. His Friday night dates with his wife, Deanna, or outings with his family to explore new local eateries will forever be remembered. And, of course, his love for Pat's and Crawfish Town, USA remained unrivaled in his heart.
Ernie Paul Castille will forever remain a beacon of love, laughter, and cherished memories in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace as his spirit continues to shine brightly within the hearts of his family and friends.
