A native of New Iberia, Mr. Viator was born on July 21, 1941, to the late Warren Adam Viator and Aimee Cecile Carret. He was a graduate of New Iberia Senior High School, and proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy, during the Vietnam War. Errol traveled all over the world for National Oilwell Varco, where he worked for over 35 years. Throughout his extensive travels, he gained invaluable experiences and formed lifelong friendships with colleagues.

Errol had an innate ability to connect with others. He never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His generous spirit touched countless lives throughout the years. Family meant everything to Errol, and he made sure they always felt loved and supported.

Errol possessed a remarkable talent for repairs and had an incredible knack for creativity. He could take an old, discarded object and transform it into something entirely new and useful. His resourcefulness was admired by many, and he earned a reputation as someone who could fix anything that came his way.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Esther Allen Viator; children, Errol Adam Viator (Sandra Melancon Viator), LeAnn Marie Viator, Aimee Louise Viator, Kimberley Ann Viator Finley (Robert Sterling Finley, III), Kristy Ann Viator, and Melissa Ann Viator Cole (Brian Timothy Cole); step children, Catherine Ann Cormier Myers (Robert James Myers) and Deborah Jo Cormier Walson (Kenneth Walter Walson); grandchildren, Cole Adam Viator (Shaina), Harrisen Michael Viator-Smith, Alexis Oliva Cole, and Jacob Hunter Cole; step grandchildren, Patrick Ryan Cormier (Kelley), Michelle Renee Cormier Klemora (Danny), Joshua Eric Cormier (Courtney), Elizabeth Ann Cormier Shelton (Joey), and Dustin Allyne Walson; step great grandchildren, Jada Paige Cormier, Jaiden Shayne Luquette, Jace Patrick Cormier, Alexander Shelton, Madelyn Shelton, Natalie Shelton, Tanner Cormier, and Harper Cormier; and a sister, Gail Frances Viator Broussard (Roderick Kent Broussard).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Theodore Jean Carret and Emma LeBlanc Carret; sister, Aimee Marie Viator Parch; and a brother, Kenneth Adam Viator.

Errol will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His kindness, creativity, and unwavering love for his family will be forever treasured by those whose lives he touched. May his memory be a blessing.
