New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia for Estelle Gaspard, 80, who passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Belle Teche Nursing Home.Interment will follow the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, in Leroy.Rev. Garrett Savoie will be the Celebrant.A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 9:30 am until 1:30 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home.A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed at 11:00 am on Wednesday. A longtime resident of New Iberia, Ms. Gaspard was born on March 14, 1941 in Leroy, to the late Noah and Alice Hebert Meyers, and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia. She enjoyed walking outdoors, going to the chapel and church on Saturday afternoons, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her three daughters, Charlotte G. Romero (Ricky) of Broussard, Patricia Gaspard (Ben Huval) of St. Martinville, and Annette G. Louviere (Patrick) of Broussard; two sons, Randolph Gaspard (Sandy) of Longmont, Colorado, and Kevin Gaspard (Carrie) of New Iberia; six grandchildren, Trace Dugar, Alexis Robinson, Trevor Gaspard, Gabrielle Gaspard, Kelsey Louviere, and Aidan Louviere; three step grandchildren, Trevor Chastant, Laci Chastant, and Brayton Chastant; and a special friend, Mary Lou Romero.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Gaspard; brother, Harry Lee Meyers; sister, Willa Mae Romero; the father of her children, Alex Gaspard; and special friend, Betty Landry.
